Chainsaw bar brands are not interchangeable because of the way chainsaw bars mount to the chainsaw. The size of the chainsaw bar is not interchangeable and is dependent on the size of the motor. Finally, chainsaw bar types are interchangeable and the different types change the durability of the bar.
To reattach your chain, remove the front panel and take the bar and chain off. Line the chain back up on the bar. Hold the chain and bar together and place the chain around the sprocket. Reassemble, then tension your chain.
The most common reason a chainsaw oiler stops working is that the oil hole gets clogged. To fix this, remove the chain and bar from your chainsaw and clean the oil hole and oil outlet port. If this doesn’t fix the problem, you’ll probably need to replace the oil line or pump.
Chainsaw chain oil lasts between 4-6 years when it’s stored in an unopened container or an opened container that has been tightly sealed. Bar and chain oil should be stored in a dark, dry, cool location.
